Free choice of pieces composed after c.1960
and of innovative, experimental character from the 17th and 18th century
(e.g. Frescobaldi, D.Scarlatti, C.P.E. Bach etc.)
this course
The main goal of this course is to offer students interested in the harpsichord repertoire of the 20th and 21st century the possibility of intensive study and information about all aspects of contemporary performance practice, including extended techniques, use of fixed media etc.
It also addresses students who do not have much experience with this repertoire yet and are intrigued to make their first steps into it.
It is not mandatory to prepare contemporary music. However, in order to enhance the course’s scope, please choose works from the 17th and/or 18th century as suggested.
Passive participation is possible and welcome.
The number of active participants is limited to 10.

September 11, course begins at 14 hrs.
September 12 & 13, classes from 10 - 13 hrs. and 15 - 18 hrs.
September 14, 10 - 13 hrs.
Practice facilities available at the studio, hours to be arranged internally by the participants.
